Interactive Web Page Development
This area is home to experimental services and proof-of-concept programs
that interact with the user via a web browser. Programs here are
tested with the VMTH browser of choice:
Netscape
Navigator, but most should work with Internet Explorer and CyberDog as
well. Different programs here use Java, Javascript and Style Sheets (which
require browsers capable of understanding those conventions). CGIs here
are mostly written in PERL, with the occasional C++ compiled binary popping
up at odd times. Also expect a few other odds and ends to pop up here from
time to time.
Some CGIs are restricted to computers in our domain, others are restricted
via username and password. This is both to test restriction capabilites
and to protect CGIs that deal with information not relevant to outside
users.
